Public consultation is a cornerstone of 4C’s work and ensures our certification system evolves through transparency, inclusiveness, and stakeholder input.
Following the Key Stakeholder Consultation (August 2024 – March 2025), 4C is reviewing all feedback and compiling draft documents for the upcoming public consultation.
Important note: 4C continuously collects feedback to improve the 4C Code of Conduct, which is revised every 5 years. The next revision will take place in 2025 and will be shared with all stakeholders for public consultation.

Previous Revision Process
During the 2019/20 revision, we drew on years of experience and extensive stakeholder feedback from meetings, calls, and business correspondence. This collaborative process ensured that the system became more robust and aligned with evolving sustainability needs.
Stakeholders were invited to contribute comments and feedback on the new version, resulting in the current 4C Code of Conduct v4.0.
